Rausu Auto Campground
羅臼オートキャンプ場
A large open camping field in Rausu, on the Shiretoko World Natural Heritage coast of eastern Hokkaido, surrounded by sea and mountains. It has powered auto sites, camper-van sites and a free tent area that can hold around 50 tents, with a cooking building and washlet toilets. Good for families, solo campers and camper-van travellers.

Good to know
No ground fires on the lawn. Electric fences are set up against brown bears. Sort your garbage into the bins or buy garbage bags (100 yen each).
Access
About 3 hours' drive from Kushiro airport. Road-side station (Michi-no-Eki) with fresh seafood is 15 minutes by car.
