Hoshikuukan Auto Campground is a small, well-equipped campground in Bisei, Ibara, Okayama, in Japan's only mainland-Honshu Dark Sky Reserve, ideal for stargazing. It has 11 sites (8 with power) and staff-pitched tents and tarps are available.

Good to know
Office hours 14:00-18:30 and 8:30-12:00. Garbage is take-home or 1,000 yen paid collection. Launch fireworks, firecrackers, musical instruments and karaoke banned; ground fires banned. Power limited to 750 W per site.
Access
About 40 min from Tamashima IC or 45 min from Kasaoka/Kamogata IC on the San'yo Expressway. Only two convenience stores on the way.
